Chamber University Register Online Member Orientation and Best Practices Class Time: 8-10am Description: In an effort to better serve you, we have created a program called CHAMBER U, cosponsored by Seacoast National Bank and The Palm Beach Post. This program will introduce you to the many member benefits that the Chamber has to offer, and show you first hand how easy it is to use these benefits to grow your business. Upon completion of the course you will receive a “graduation certificate” and your name and company will be listed in the Chamber’s monthly Communicator. ALL MEMBERS ARE INVITED AT NO CHARGE.
8:00am – Member Orientation Are you a new member to the Chamber? Are you an existing member who wants to make sure that you are taking advantage of all that your Chamber Membership has to offer? At this program, you will learn about the tools available to you at the Chamber. We will explain the many opportunities that the Chamber has for you to become more involved and expand your business. This orientation will review all of the Chamber’s programs and services to make sure you are maximizing your Chamber Membership and leveraging partnerships with fellow members.

| | Wednesday, March 24 | Women in Business Luncheon Register Online Time: 11:30am-1pm Topic: Max Planck Florida Institute: Exploring the Frontiers of Science Speaker: Dr. Claudia Hillinger, Vice President for Institute Development, Max Planck Florida Institute Speaker Bio: r. Claudia Hillinger serves as the Max Planck Florida Institute’s Vice President for Institute Development and is responsible for establishing the Max Planck Florida Institute – the first time in its 60-year history that the German research organization will have a presence in the United States. In Florida, the Max Planck Florida Institute will focus on advancing the world’s knowledge of bioimaging by using advanced techniques to study the molecular process. Dr. Hillinger will oversee the establishment of the 100,000-square-foot research facility, which will be located near Scripps Florida on six acres at Florida Atlantic University’s (FAU) MacArthur campus in Jupiter.
Dr. Hillinger joined Max Planck Society more than 10 years ago and was responsible for Institute development before becoming the research coordinator and head of the Central Scientific Laboratories and Technical Facilities for the Max Planck Institute of Biogeochemistry in Jena,Germany, which focuses on climate change, earth system sciences and biodiversity. Previously,she held the position of research group leader at the Institute of Botany and Microbiology at the
Technical University of Munich (TUM), and served as assistant to both the American Deputy Director and the German Program Director at the American Embassy in Bonn, Germany and Amerika Haus München. Dr. Hillinger received her bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish from the Academy of Foreign Languages in Munich; a master’s of science degree in biology from TUM; and her doctorate in biology from the Institute of Botany and Microbiology at TUM.
