Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa celebrates their inaugural year as a drop-off location for the Toys for Tots program of West Palm Beach.  During the month of December, in cooperation with Staff Sergeant Branden Francis, USMC, Jupiter Beach Resort will be collecting unwrapped toys for local underprivileged children.  Members of the U.S. Marines will join in the resort's annual holiday party on December 15, to collect all donated gifts.  Three Iraq war veterans and their families will also be in attendance to join in the celebration.

Seventh and eighth grade middle school students of St. Mark's Episcopal School recently completed individual or team science fair projects, which resulted in 77 projects submitted across 12 different categories.  At the beginning of the school year, each student chose a question to research.  Students worked diligently with the help of the middle school faculty, Galen Bruno, seventh and eighth grade science teacher, Laura Shellhorse, English teacher, and Frances Mattlin, media specialist, to follow the steps of the scientific method to complete their projects.
