Beth Kigel (PBN Chamber), Adam Herold (Kickstartists), and Jan Cairnes (Hanley Foundation - YEA! Presenting Sponsor)

Last week, the PBN Chamber Foundation hosted the annual Young Entrepreneur’s Academy (YEA!) Investor Panel at FAU’s Jupiter Campus. This event showcased the 10 startup business the YEA! class of 2016-2017 has been  working on since October. Students took the stage in a “shark tank” style format, and pitched their businesses to a group of local business leaders and owners, known as the ‘Investor Panel’ to compete for real start-up capital to launch their businesses.

Each business was awarded various amounts of start-up funding. Students Kennedi English & Adam Herold claimed the additional honor of being selected as the YEA! Saunders Semi-Finalist for the Palm Beach North region. Their business Kickstartists will move onto YEA!’s regional competition for a chance to compete in the final round of the Saunders Scholars Competition in Rochester, New York.

Thank you to all of the YEA! sponsors, mentors, and volunteers for making these very special evening possible!
